Hi Art friends and Family,
Here’s what’s been going on inside of my life.
I have been doing artwork this year in my new art studio with a large North window which looks out at my wonderful garden! Besides herbs and flowers I watch birds coming to visit. You may notice that there are more birds in this year’s paintings! They are up for sale this year. I had to zoom for my art classes with Interact, but I start back in person soon. My art mentor Cami and I visited New artsy places, like the Franconia Sculptures and of course the St Paul Art Crawl. They inspired me.
Next I want to tell you my new passion is poetry. Here is a poem, because last week, I saw an eagle outside of my work. It swooped down and snapped up a squirrel.
Wings of Grace
She comes gracefully, silently
Flying through skies of blue
With wispy clouds of gray hues.
She spreads her wings far and wide
As though a messenger
From way up high
Looking down at us as if to say
Tomorrow will be a brand new day.
Full of opportunities for us to find
As we go on our way
Throughout the day.
An eagle flying through the skies
As we know that when its seen
Is a promise of good things yet to be.
I have kept fit with my great friend Alexis and by lots of walking with my friend Paula! I also got to do Special Olympics Track and Field in the spring. In summertime my Unified partner Katie and I enjoyed each other’s company and learned new techniques at Loggers Golf Course. Some of the Flames athletes are also in our church group at Centennial. We zoomed our lessons. And had some picnics. We went to Gibbs Farm and we went to the Wild Rice Festival in Roseville, since we are learning about Native Americans and how other Cultures have different names for God and ways to worship.
When I went up to the cabin in Aitkin Minnesota I put my own worms onto my hook on my Zebco 33 fishing rod. We caught some sunnies and crappies, which we ate for breakfast. I also got to kayak.
Even though we’ve had a pandemic going on, I’m doing my best to keep positive vibes. I hope that my Artwork will give you good vibes and make you smile.
